Airport: The San Diego International Airport is located less than 10 minutes from all downtown hotels. There is 24-hour shuttle service between the airport and downtown hotels. Click on the link to book your shuttle transfer and receive a $2 discount. You can now check-in to your airline at the San Diego Convention Center (bypassing the airport lines!). Public Transporation: MTS buses, trolleys and coasters provide convenient transportation throughout San Diego County. Travel to and from the airport, all shopping centers, attractions, beaches, hotels and Mexico. Bus schedules differ, but most hotels and attractions have service every 15 to 20 minutes. The San Diego Trolley runs every 15 minutes throughout most of the day and 30 minutes in the evening. The North County Coaster runs 43 miles along the coast with station stops in downtown San Diego, Old Town, Solana Beach, Encinitas, Carlsbad and Oceanside. You can also get a free trolly transfer which will take you to Tijuana. All MTS buses, trolleys and coasters are equipped with wheelchair lifts. The San Diego Convention Center’s Restaurant and Concierge Services Desk located in the Grand Lobby will be open during Experimental Biology 2008. Staffed with their very knowledgeable personnel, this service is complimentary for both attendees and exhibitors. The Desk is stocked with the latest San Diego information, actual restaurant menus, and staff can make immediate dining reservations by phone, and recommendations for attractions and activities throughout the San Diego region. In addition, tickets to some of San Diego’s finest attractions and tours are available for purchase at a discounted price. The Concierge/Restaurant Reservations Desk will be open Saturday-Wednesday, from 9:00 AM-6:00 PM (NOTE: Hours are subject to change).
Prize Drawing: A drawing for a restaurant gift certificate and a San Diego gift bag will be held at the desk (Sunday through Tuesday at 3 p.m.). Please stop by to drop your card or fill out a slip to enter.
