Press Releases and Briefings
Pressroom briefings begin at 1:00 PM on Saturday and end at 4:00 PM on Tuesday. Press kits will be issued along with programs and abstract books upon registration. All EB 2008 releases have embargoed information, pertaining to time of pressroom presentation or scientific session, whichever comes first. An area in the pressroom will be designated for news releases provided by institutions or exhibitors and must be about presentations at the meeting.

Guidelines
EB 2008 is open to media representing print, electronic, online, general interest, trade, and medical publishing companies. Official registration is required at the EB 2008 "Registration Information" desk in the San Diego Convention Center.
Press badges will be issued to members of the working press and freelance writers bearing a letter of assignment from an editor as well as a business card. Please see Sarah Goodwin or Sylvia Wrobel in the Pressroom for a "press registration form" bearing a signature. After receiving this form, you will be instructed to go to the "Registration Help Counter" to receive your badge. The Program and Abstracts will be distributed in the Pressroom. On Friday, April 4 only, Press representatives should go to the EB Management Office to receive a "press registration form."
(Public relations representatives may register as non-members for the EB 2008 meeting in the Registration Area)
Registered journalists must wear press badges when attending the meeting and when covering EB-sponsored events. All of the scientific sessions as well as receptions are open to the press.
Camera crews must register all members of the crew and wear badges.
